You got to love the new Attik website. The simplicity mixed with some nice flash technology give to this site a really sweet look.

*New suie paparude
To get these things clear, is true that I’ve design the new suiepaparude website. I worked in our Atelier105 with Eduard for Flash parts and with Imi our incredible front and back developer. I must say this was a long process from sketches to the actually design. Also need to let you know that the site has an administration login where the guys from Suie could post and upload things.
Flash components are made in AS3 with a very cool way to add videos and music, but we will talk about this later in another post. Still not fully pleased with the flash part; because of the rush Edi need to make some compromise “movements” but we will fix this soon because we want to put the player with all the functions to download as an open source, and belive me is really ingenious.
Nothing much to say about front and back end development, just that is really sweet and make me wonder what’s next for us, but just to let you know we have something more excited then this to come.
So we had very good feedback and lot’s of visitors and we earn an huge amount of applause, and we are very pleased with this, thank you all but don’t take it to serious because we’ve just started.

I am really proud to announce you that I am part of the jury on Europe by Designers. It seems to be a nice project made by a team from France - Astrid Rousseau & Julien Grandclement a.k.a. ODBO.
BACKGROUND:
EUROPE BY DESIGNERS is an international artistic project whose aim is to unveil a multitude of images of Europe from the inside and from the outside. Design as the expression of a cultural vision, a political vision or a simple and unopposed feeling… Design and its diversity as a new way to catch Europe.
THEME:
Designers, illustrators, photographers, design studios, collectives/crews, agencies… you are all welcome to submit an innovative, creative, exciting, personal and experimental work around the theme: “Europe : what does Europe mean to you?”. We are expecting diversity and freestyle : all styles of outstanding visual media are welcome. Selected works will be featured online and, hopefully, through future exhibitions and book.
NO ENTRY FEE IS REQUIRED.
DEADLINE: 31ST DECEMBER, 2008.
I already told you that soon I will have something interesting to show you. So here it is an interesting book full of patterns from Victionary - Simply Pattern. They contact me months ago to be featured in this book with my 3 pieces made for KDU. And I tell you….for all of you pattern lovers out there this book is sick so you might have it. Anyway more to come from Victionary.
Then I receive the Visual Mixtape from Nu visual Language exhibition / London UK. The exhibition was a real success and Radim told me that this exhibition will be all over UK this summer and till the autumn. The idea behind it is just awesome, it seems that my friend Radim had a big brain. Cheers mate, can’t wait to see what future projects you have.
My friends from Juiceboxcreative invite me to be part of their event - Affix a mixture with music and graphics in Australia. Friends of mine from Australia told me that the event was totally out of control. Congrats Grigg for this awesome concept.
That’s it for the moment, and don’t forget that Citrus website is now available for all browsers out there, as we promise, and btw my new site coming with a lovely cms, rss and other useful stuff for all of you.

I want to start with something that bother me these days and probably in the next 2 months - the Celsius guy (31 °C in Timisoara as we speak).
Then I just want to let you know we are working hard on the new Etcetering to get it back on track. We are now just 4 members of the team who struggle to put Etcetering online soon for you. The process is hard because we all have jobs or other projects, so soon we will set up a donation page over Etcetering, so anyone who trust in us can donate at least one dollar for this great team. The money will help us to release a better version, pay the domain and the host etc.
Second I am working at my new portfolio where you will find a lot of updates and new things. I will not change the structure of my design as I said before, because I just realize that this is my best structure I ever had and I want to keep it like that, after all is about Stefan Lucut and the grid system. So stay tune for any new updates on my portfolio, lovely stuff to come.
Another notice I want to share with you is that this summer you can find me in the latest book released by Attik - Noise5; go here and keep you up to date with the release date, and then just buy the book, is worth every pound. Also Victionary just release the Simply Pattern book where I have 4 or 5 prints featured. Another book that deserve every pound for those who love patterns. And I can’t tell you more than this because lots of more books and publications to come over this year.
Of course I can’t be quiet when it comes to Behance. Behance is my favorite network ever. It’s so well done and so good advertise that my 80% of my latest freelance projects comes from Behance. And also I got my 9 featured project on the first page; this thing impress me a lot, it seems people love my work. Thank you Behance team and then you all.
Another hot thing is that after we launch the Citrus website we had a “every day joy” because of an huge impact that it has on the internet; People just love this website and how is it done and also people respect that we have the courage to not make it works for IE6 and we start encourage the Firefox era. But this week because we also respect all our users and visitors no matter what browser did they use we will launch the version witch works on every browser without any problems. Our developer and programmer is an bad ass mother fucker - cheers Imi.
I also forgot to announce you when we were talking about design trends on 30 May 2008 in Timisoara and also on 31 May 2008 in Cluj. It was a bad ass conference thanks to Oricum Association who invite me and Eduard Muresan at this event. Thank you Cluj for the warm welcome and for keeping us from 12:00 to 17:00 talking about design and trends. One thing is for sure, more conferences and workshops to come in the near future.

Probably some of you wonder what the hell I am doing. So here is the answer, I work with my friends at citrus design as an art director. But this is not what I want to tell you. I want to tell you something about the new website.
When I first came here i was surprised about their website; there was no website.
So the first thing I’ve made, I started to think how citrus website should look. I’ve design 3 versions in 3 months; we try a “web 2.0″ style, then a urban style website full flash but none of these was actually our style. We didn’t realize that citrus design tag line is “refreshing design” - F5. We didn’t realize that we need something extremely fresh, something colorful, full of life.
Now is up to you to tell us if we made a good job.

Minimalexperimental is a platform for online and offline design exhibitions. We want to encourage designers to be more daring, to experiment more, not to choose the most available solution to any project. We are here to promote graphic designers and to promote experimental design as contemporary form of expression. For the time being we will organize exhibitions in Romania
See event video.
You can propose an artist to be featured by minimalexperimental by sending an email to

Later edit: Minimalexperimental is close by the moment.

How many of you when they get home open their desktop and also their laptop, but you never work on your laptop…but is cool to have the laptop on thou right? Lets try to open just what we need. Let’s cut some wires.
